When Family Is Everything
Shawn got bit by the water bug from an early age. When he was 19, he wanted to surprise his mother with a big Christmas present. What better way to do that than build her a pond all by himself?
After much trial and error, the pond was done and his mom was ecstatic. Even if not everything was perfect, building his first pond was a huge learning lesson… one that sent Shawn down the path he’s still on today. He fell in love with it, and bettered his craft by attending top seminars and trainings over the years. Eventually, he started his company in 2007.
When Shawn got deployed to Afghanistan with the 1-182nd Infantry in 2011, his dad Tim took over the company until he could get back. His mom Janelle came on board too, and they have been a huge part of the company’s success ever since. Shawn couldn’t do it without them and wouldn’t want it any other way.
The True Stars: Our Customers
We’ve built water features all over the country with some of the greatest professionals in the water feature industry. We’re lucky to have had our hand in major landmark builds, too, at places like the Shedd Aquarium and the Lincoln Park Zoo. We also had the opportunity to be on National Geographic Wild’s Pond Stars.
While we’ve had tremendous success and continue to work for a bright future, our job would be nothing if it weren’t for the awesome people who hire us and continue to invite us back to their homes.
