A Wellesley family transforms their backyard into a Disney-inspired paradise, complete with a cascading boulder waterfall, tranquil koi pond, and magical lighting that brings the magic of Wilderness Lodge home.

Since 2016, the homeowners have trusted us with enhancing and maintaining this remarkable feature—and its most recent transformation brought both crystal clarity and a touch of elegance that honors its grand heritage.

Some projects begin with a finished home and a blank canvas. This one began in January 2025, when snow still blanketed the ground and the clients were just breaking ground on their contemporary-style dream home. With only the architect's design to reference, we embarked on a journey together to create the perfect welcome.

This pond has been part of our care since May 2023, when we first performed an Exploratory Drain and Clean service. That initial step is always about more than cleaning—it's about truly getting to know a client's pond.

This project began as a simple request: refresh an existing pond and reorient the waterfall for improved viewing. What it became was something far more transformative—a complete rebuild that would serve as the finishing touch on an outdoor living space years in the making.
