Pond Repair and Renovation Contractor in Nashua, New Hampshire
New England Aquatic Landscaping repairs and renovates ponds in Nashua that leak, cloud up, or never worked right from the start. In Hillsborough County the biggest culprit is cold: deep frost and long winters crack plumbing, shift waterfall boxes, and push liners around, so every fix we make is built to survive the next freeze.

Repairs We Handle
The phone usually rings because the water level keeps dropping and nobody can tell why. We find the leak, whether it is a puncture in the liner, a low edge, or a waterfall box leaking behind the spillway, and fix the cause rather than patching the symptom.
Beyond leaks, we replace cheap PVC liners that have gone brittle, rebuild waterfalls and streams, upsize weak pumps, and add a skimmer or biological falls to ponds that never had real filtration. We can deepen a shallow pond so fish survive winter, add fish caves, lighting, or an auto-fill valve, and convert a kit or preformed pond into a true ecosystem pond.
Why Nashua Ponds Fail
Nashua sits along the Merrimack River, where sandy glacial outwash drains fast and granite ledge sits close under many yards. Sand lets edges settle unevenly over time, which drops one side of the pond below the waterline. Ledge under a liner wears holes when frost heave rubs the two together.
Winters here run colder and longer than in much of Massachusetts. A shallow pond dug by a previous owner can freeze nearly solid. The crew travels from Cherry Valley and schedules New Hampshire repair work in blocks, so diagnostic visits and follow-up repairs are staged together.
Repair and Renovation Costs
Small repairs run roughly $1,300 to $3,750. Mid-size renovations run roughly $3,750 to $5,000. Full renovations run $5,000 and up, and a complete rebuild is often much more.
Many projects begin with an Exploratory Drain and Clean, roughly $1,300 to $2,500, so we can inspect the liner, plumbing, and rockwork with the water out before quoting. What moves the price is the size of the pond, how much stone has to come out to reach the problem, whether the liner can be saved, and how much of the system you want upgraded.
Our Repair Process
Call for a free phone consultation and describe what you are seeing: how fast the water drops, when it started, and what the pond looks like. Shawn Cutroni then visits your Nashua property for a Discovery Meeting and evaluates the pond in person.
If the problem is not visible, we recommend an Exploratory Drain and Clean. With the pond empty, we show you what failed and lay out repair options. Once you choose, the work goes into the next New Hampshire block. Hearth financing with 2 to 12 year terms is available for larger renovations.

Frequently asked questions
How do you find a leak in my pond?
We start by letting the water drop and watching where it stops, which narrows the leak to a height. Then we check the waterfall and stream edges, the skimmer seals, and the plumbing. If the leak is below the waterline, an Exploratory Drain and Clean lets us inspect the liner directly.
Is it worth renovating an old pond in Nashua or starting over?
Often renovation makes sense, especially if the liner is EPDM and the shape works. If the pond has a brittle PVC liner, no filtration, and shallow depth, a rebuild may cost about the same and last far longer. We give you both options after seeing it.
Can you convert my old pond into a pondless waterfall?
Yes. If you love the sound but are tired of the upkeep, we can remove the open water, install an underground reservoir, and keep or rebuild the waterfall. It is a common change for homeowners who no longer want fish.
When is the best season for pond repairs in New Hampshire?
Spring and fall work well because water temperatures are cool and fish handle the move to a holding tank better. Summer repairs are possible with extra care. Winter work is limited by frozen ground, so we book Nashua repairs in the warmer months.
