Under the stone sits underlayment and a 45 mil EPDM liner. Rock and gravel cover the liner and give beneficial bacteria a home. Plant shelves hold marginals and lilies that shade the water and compete with algae. The pond is 2 feet deep, recirculates, and never needs a hose left running. An auto-fill valve is optional.

Waterfalls run roughly $1,500 to $13,500 depending on the drop, streams roughly $2,650 to $18,000 by length, and lighting packages roughly $3,500 to $7,700. Expect roughly $25 to $75 per month in electricity during the season. Financing is available through Hearth.
